«L'idea è quella di lavorare su un oggetto che solitamente non viene riciclato e che molto spesso viene addirittura abbandonato nelle periferie invece di essere portato nei centri di smaltimento. Ho pensato di lavorare su un grosso elettrodomestico e per questo ho utilizzato una lavatrice trovata fuori città. Una volta smontato l'elettrodomestico, mi sono accorto che il cestello, per le sue dimensioni, poteva perfettamente fungere da tavolino basso. Da qui la decisione di dargli una seconda vita come oggetto d'arredo». Lo sportello frontale del cestello è stato lo spunto che ha permesso di dare all'oggetto anche una funzione contenitiva, mentre la texture superficiale bucherellata ha ispirato l'idea di utilizzare l'oggetto come corpo illuminante. Il prodotto finale è un tavolino al cui interno è contenuta una presa multipla di corrente, due corpi illuminanti e un reostato, collegato direttamente ad un piano d'appoggio in plexiglas, esterno al cestello/tavolino e libero di ruotare. All'interno possono alloggiare, ad esempio, i caricabatterie, la cui estremità di connessione viene fatta fuoriuscire da un foro praticato sulla sommità del cestello. I due corpi illuminanti sono attivati tramite un interruttore posto sul lato dell'oggetto e grazie alla rotazione del piano di plexiglas si può regolare l'intensità luminosa.
