Stefania Verderosa

Nata a Palermo il 21 settembre del 1960 inizia molto giovane a dipingere ma decide di divulgare il suo lavoro solo nel 2008, dopo aver trovato la sua strada artistica. Laureata in scienze agrarie ha in sé maturato un grande rispetto per l'ambiente e nel contempo una grande passione per l'arte moderna e contemporanea; ciò l'ha condotta al dipingere "libere espressioni polimateriche" i suoi quadri infatti, sono realizzati con materiali inconsueti come plastica, carta, cocci di vetro, paglia per imballaggi, oggetti spesso protagonisti nella vita quotidiana di ciascuno ma di scarto nella civiltà dei consumi che vengono da lei reinterpretati, non come un semplice assemblaggio, ma come un tramite, un espediente per rendere concrete e visibili le sue emozioni più remote e per comunicare e condividere il desiderio di fare la sua parte nella salvaguardia dell'ambiente.

"Ciò che a prima vista colpisce delle opere di Stefania Verderosa è la matericità pittorica, la scelta di seguire una forma espressiva che si colloca fra pittura e scultura, nel territorio di quell'Arte di Mezzo frequentata da chi sente la necessità di offrire ai sensi dell'osservatore qualcosa di più di una semplice stesura cromatica senza alla fine dover rappresentare plasticamente il soggetto. E soprattutto quando il soggetto è dato dai propri pensieri "poetici" , quando è più urgente l'afflato creativo, la rappresentazione pittorica dà i suoi più alti risultati. Il colore di fondo si aggruma come intorno ai pensieri e gli inserti cromatici si incastonano come parole nella metrica di una composizione poetica che ci racconta una storia, una sensazione, un sentimento..."
